Chris Jackson
Audio and Production Engineer

Chris has been working as an audio engineer for over a decade and has had the pleasure to work with local and international acts such as Magic, Katie-Elle Reeve, Mitch & Mike Gordon, The Joel Jenkins Trio, Lana Rita Sayah, Erin Patrice, Yours Truly, Pocket of Stones, Joel Sena, and the Sean Harlor Trio.

He records in both studio and location environments for music, post production audio, dialogue and ADR, and sound restoration. He is proficient in both Pro Tools and Logic as well as working with a large variety of mixing consoles and analogue equipment. 

Chris is not only a professional audio engineer but has also spent the last few years working with video, recording on DSLR cameras and editing in Premiere Pro and FCP. He is also proficient in After Effects and Photoshop, and has worked as both a corporate and creative videographer. He has developed skills for both live and pre recorded video clips as well as interviews and documentaries.

Another aspect of Chris' work has been for the NSW police doing forensic audio. This involves taking poorly recorded/captured audio and enhancing it to make it clearer.

Chris is also a dedicated and long time lecturer of audio engineering and production. He created and developed The Grove Studios Academy, developing both their Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses as well as registering and accrediting the academy and its courses with ASQA.

Chris has also worked for institutes such as JMC Academy Sydney, SAE and TAFE NSW and is responsible for the training and development of many of the up and coming professionals in the Australian music industry.
